Laytonsville 50th Anniversary Two-Person Scramble

Location: Laytonsville Golf Course

Time: Shotgun Start at 9:00am

Player Limit: 88

Entry Fee: $185/team (includes golf, cart, range balls, lunch & prizes).

Format: A team consists of two players. Each player plays from the teeing area on each hole, one of the tee shots is selected and all the players play their second shots from within one club length of that location, no closer to the hole, and in the same height of grass in the general area. Play continues in this manner until the ball is holed. Scramble will be played at GROSS with NO HANDICAPS. Play is governed by USGA Rules of Golf with Local Rules in effect.Note: Handicaps are used for FLIGHTING PURPOSES ONLY (if applicable). 

Divisions: Teams may select to complete in one of the following Divisions: “Open” (all ages), “Senior (55-64)", or “Super Senior (65+)" during registration. Both players must be 54 years of age or younger on or before the date of competition to compete in the Open Division.  Both Senior players must be 55 years of age on or before the date of competition to compete in the Senior division. Both Super Senior players must be 65 years of age on or before the date of competition to compete in the Super Senior division. Within each division there is also a Men's and Women's Flight.

Flights: Within each division there will be two flights: Men's Flight and Women's Flight. 

Tees by Division/Flight: The following sets of tees will be used for each of the following Divisions: "Open": Men - Blue Tees, Women - Gold Tees | "Senior": Men - White Tees, Women - Silver Tees | "Super Senior": Men - Gold Tees, Women - Silver Tees. *NOTE: The Committee has deemed it most equitable for women competing against men in the same flight to compete from a tee set with a similar rating to that of the tee set being played by the men within the flight.

Eligibility: Participants must have a USGA Handicap or play as a scratch (0 handicap) to compete for Open Division event prizes

Ties: In the event that there is a tie, LVGC will retain the tie unless otherwise noted in the specific tournament’s terms of competition. 

Skins Game (Optional): Optional Gross Skins games will be available. Register on-site day of event.
